FranceDanse in Brazil

Following Korea, Italy Russia, Quebec, China and New York, FranceDanse is about to present 16 French troupes, including some of the most renowned choreographers and young talent to be discovered.
The 2016 edition proposes taking a close look at the vitality of French contemporary creation. Consisting of a wide variety of proposals, this will certainly be a privileged encounter between a Brazilian audience and the latest offered in terms of French creation.
 
Organized in partnership with the French Cultural Services in Brazil, with the support of the French Ministry of Culture and Communication, this event federates more than 30 partners for a shared artistic program, all over Brazil, with festivals, theaters, universities, art galleries and museums coming together in an effort to give tremendous visibility to French contemporary dance.
 
Alongside performances, a vast cooperation program aims to strengthen the bonds between both countries in the realm of dance, with three seminar sessions set up with the participation of universities, workshops, collaborations and exchanges between French and Brazilian artists, without forgetting dance videos and cinema screenings.
