A French, Language of Employment Forum in Budapest

The French, Language of Employment Forum of Budapest aims at fostering an encounter between the academic and economic worlds with reference to the French language, a pragmatic language, one with strong ties with the professional world.
On April 15 and 16, 2016 the first ‘‘French, Language of Employment’’ Forum will be organized by the Institut français of Hungary.

Bringing together representatives of French and Hungarian countries (Print City, Jeantet, Auchan), universities, cultural management institutions (Budapest Festival Orchestra), tourism and diplomacy (High Commission for Refugees, Red Cross), the Forum will offer an assessment of successful experiences in order to strengthen the power of attraction of learning French by portraying it as a pragmatic language, one with strong ties with the professional world. Hungarian experience will be compared with that of neighboring countries (Czech Republic, Slovakia, Austria) in order set up a convergent regional approach.

Also on the agenda is a presentation of the philosophy and methods of the French language based on specific objectives as well as the professional French tools set up by the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Paris-Greater Paris and the Institut français, as follows:

The Institut français in Paris lends its support to this Forum within the scope of its mission to promote French, language of employment and its Fonds pour la coopération éducative et linguistique (Fund for Educational and Linguistic Cooperation). It fostered four other forums devoted to such issues in 2014 and 2015, organized in Sweden and South Africa in April 2015, in Kuwait in November 2014, and in India in November 2015.
