Launch of the "Kolosary Cinema Malagasy Collection – Madagascar in 11 films"

A new DVD collection from the Africa Cinemathèque is devoted to Madagascan cinema. An evening to launch this collection will be held at the Dapper Museum, for the discovery of 11 recent and heritage films.
On June 24, 2016, at the Dapper Museum in Paris, a special evening will be held in order to launch the Kolosary Cinéma Malagasy – Madagascar in 11 films collection, comprised of 11 heritage and recent films.
Four of these films will be screened in the course of the evening; two short fiction films – L'Accident, by Benoît Ramampy (1972) and Madama Esther, by Luck Razanajoana (2013) – and two short animated films – Le Soleil se lève... puis se couche, by Jiva Eric Razafindralambo (2005) and Iny Hono izy Ravorona, by Sitraka Randriamahaly (2012).
The films have been restored and digitalized in Madagascar through the Cinémathèque Afrique fund, within the scope of the partnership with the Greater Paris Region, which already enabled the production of the Femmes d'Afrique collection in 2009. They will be presented in their original version, subtitled in French and in English.
