London and Prague Médiathèques (Media Libraries), two emblematic examples

The Aid Plan for Media Libraries of the Institut français in Paris is offering the Cultural Network media libraries a personalized assistance, from expertise to project support. Included in the approximately 50 projects selected in 2015 are modernization of the media library of the Institut français of Prague and the complete refurbishment of the children’s library of the Institut français of London.
 

Two new areas dedicated to digital mediation in Prague

The Institut français of Prague has moved toward a ‘‘Third location’’ library model, with convivial areas free and open to exchange while granting a major role to digital media. It is also endowed with three areas dedicated to digital mediation – equipped with smart TV, interactive touch screen data displays and a latest generation touch screen video projector.
 
 

New Quentin Blake Library in London

The new children’s library of the Institut français of London, with a surface area that has doubled in size, provides unique offerings in the British capital. With the best French literature available for children, it is both a friendly area for welcoming families, a resource center equipped with the latest technology for learning the French language, and a location suitable for organizing school activities.
