The ‘‘Richesses’’ – Riches - (Agence Obras, collectif AJAP14) project, presented at the French Pavilion of the 15th International Architecture Biennale in Venice in 2016, organized day devoted to discussions and exchanges on November 26, for the event’s closing.
From May 26 up until November 27, 2016, the French Pavilion of the 15th International Architecture Biennale in Venice in 2016 will speak out to make people aware of the rich and effervescent activity of architecture in France.
For the event’s closing ceremony, the curators have invited the architect exhibitors for a day of discussion and exchange on November 26, 2016 at the French Pavilion. Several months after its opening, the aim of this day is to extend any discussion stirred up by the project and engage in a dialogue on the topic of ‘‘Another Agency Project’’ together.

"Another agency project" : a day of discussion

The aim of this day of discussion is to build a new perspective, broaden theoretical horizons and demonstrate that the projects exhibited are not isolated cases or merely media-friendly opportunities. On the contrary, they express a deep commitment, on the part of every agency. The curators of the French Pavilion would like to reiterate that theoretical foundations evolve, that there are several ways to speak about architecture in a context of crises and trivialization of landscapes. Economic strategists, local channel rationales, rich narration, smart game players, esthetic inventions have become the contemporary tools of French architecture.
A number of discussions and meetings have been organized throughout the event, with the participation of Schools of Architecture (Nantes, Nancy, ENSA Paris-Belleville), conferences in institutions (Symposium on October 19, 2016 at the Cité de l'architecture et du patrimoine) as well as encounters at the Pavilion.
