Teatroskop

Initiated in 2011 by the French institute, the Ministry of Culture and the Ministry of European and Foreign Affairs,  Teatroskop is a program designed to boost the cooperation between France and Southeast Europe in the field of performing arts in their most contemporary and audacious forms.

The program is open to various forms of performing arts: theatre, dance, circus, puppetry, street performance etc, and operates in Southeast Europe, considered in a broad sense, that is in Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Greece, Hungary, Kosovo, FYR Macedonia, Montenegro, Romania, Serbia, Slovenia and Turkey.
The coordination of the program is entrusted to the French Institute of Serbia, which is performing this mission in close cooperation with other French institutes from the region.

Teatroskop is designed to support performance tours, by covering travel or transportation costs, to facilitate the mobility of the professionals from the region, by enabling them to assist the professional events in France, to organize workshops, master classes and seminars on cultural policies with European dimension.

In 2017, TEATROSKOP coordinated the regional program FranceDanse Orient-Express. This program allowed several French troupes to visit 13 Southeastern European countries, by organizing around forty live performances and numerous master classes.

In 2018 and 2019, the priority shall be given to proposals targeting young audience, without excluding other programs.
