La Fabrique des cinémas du monde

Professional program set up in partnership with France Médias Monde and supported by Organisation internationale de la Francophonie, la Fabrique des Cinémas du Monde aims to encourage the emergence of new talent from Southern countries. Each year, it invites ten directors who are preparing their first or second feature film to the Festival de Cannes, along with their producer.

In 2016, La Fabrique’s guest of honor was Chinese filmmaker Jia Zhang-Ke, who lately directed Mountains May Depart.

Since 2009, when it was established, La Fabrique has welcomed 108 directors and producers from 52 countries. Find all the Fabrique participants with their biographies, project presentation (in French and English) on IFmapp La Fabrique des Cinémas du Monde.

> The projects selected to participate in the 2017 edition of La Fabrique will be announced in March.
