Each week, three interviews with personalities from both sides of the Mediterranean – writers, philosophers, rappers, journalists, actresses etc. – are broadcast on the Facebook page of the Institut français of Tunisia. A slot is set aside for 15:30 on Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays for these 30 to 40 minutes broadcasts by the Tunisian journalist Maya Ksouri.

One of the first interviews is with Yasmina Khadra, author of Hirondelles de Kaboul (The Swallows of Kabul), Sandrine Bonnaire in the headlines in 2019 with Trois jours et une vie (Three Days and a Life), Kamel Daoud, author of Meursault, contre-enquête (The Meursault, Investigation) and Marie-Christine Saragosse, CEO of France Médias Monde…

See all these interviews on the Institut français of Tunisia’s Facebook page.

The Institut français and the project

The show « Des/confinés » is an initiative of the Institut français of Tunisia to overcome the constraints of confinement and to continue to maintain a link with its audience.

In the current context of an international health crisis, the entire French cultural network abroad is working to ensure the continuity of its services and missions.
