As a member of the board of the European Film Academy, Béatrice Thiriet represents artists and composers in a number of professional associations, unions and the SACEM.
Béatrice hosts the class, which focuses on film music, composing for cinema, followed by a discussion on these topics with the Fabrique de l’Institut français filmmakers.
Béatrice Thiriet entered the world of cinema with French filmmaker Pascale Ferran, composing the music for her films Petits Arrangements avec les morts, L’Âge des possibles, Lady Chatterley and Bird People. She has worked with many directors, in both film and television, such as Marc Esposito, Pierre Javaux Dominique Cabrera, Jacques Deschamps, Jérôme Diamant Berger and Xavier Durringer in France, and international artists such as Radu Miailheanu (Romania), Anup Singh (India), Arben Ivanaj (Albania), Eyal Sivan (Israel), Hu Jia (China) and Jesu Garai and Agusti Vilaronga (Catalonia, Spain).
The masterclass given by Béatrice Thiriet took place as part of the partnership between the Institut français and France Médias Monde.
