"Mode et Parfums", from 2 June to 22 October at the Institut français of Cambodia
This exhibition focuses on the links between fashion and perfume, and the way in which these two disciplines feed off each other. From Chanel to Dior, via Yves Saint Laurent, every fashion has found its perfumed expressions, and perfume is conceived as an indispensable accessory, an extension of the silhouette.
Haute couture houses: Chanel, Rochas, Christian Dior, Givenchy, Yves Saint Laurent, Thierry Mugler, Kenzo, Jean-Paul Gaultier.
"Souffles!" from 10 June to 30 September at the National Museum
By bringing together pieces from a new generation of designers and a selection of Angkorian vases, the exhibition confronts new creations with tradition. This highlights the freedom with which each designer takes up the challenge of reinventing an object based on thousand-year-old techniques.
With works by Jean-Baptiste Fastrez, Brynjar Sigurðarson, Julie Richoz, Mathieu Peyroulet Ghilini, Laura Couto Rosado, Samy Rio, Pernelle Poyet, Carolien Niebling, Sara de Campos and Gregory Granados.
These exhibitions are presented in partnership with Nez, the Olfactory Cultural Movement, experts in the field of olfaction and perfume, and Cirva, the International Research Centre for Glass and Plastic Arts, based in Marseille.
