Digital November
Since 2017, all over the world, the Institut français and the French cultural network abroad have been organizing Novembre Numérique, the international celebration of digital cultures.
Novembre Numérique provides an opportunity to question the place of digital technology in our societies, to provide training in new uses and to discover the richness and diversity of digital creation, from virtual reality to video games, from media art to new forms of digital and online storytelling, from immersive theater to interactive music, from educational digital technology to entrepreneurship and more.
An event that arouses interest
Since its creation, this event has grown in scope each year, with programming proposed in over 70 countries and 130 cities in 2024. This strong mobilization testifies to the commitment of the French Institute and the French cultural network abroad to encourage access for all to new technologies, to promote the diversity of French digital creation in all its components (immersive experiences, video games and esports, digital arts, web creation, audiovisual performances, augmented live performance, podcasts, innovative books etc.) and to build lasting partnerships with international professionals.
In 2024
+ over 70 countries took part in Novembre numérique.
+ more than 130 cities hosted in situ and/or online events!
At a time of Artificial Intelligence, metavers, NFTs, and the challenges of eco-responsible digital, Novembre Numérique aims more broadly to foster an international dialogue between creators, industry professionals and audiences on the new uses and challenges of digital. This event provides an opportunity to initiate and showcase innovative projects, renew the programming offer with new creative formats, and report on the digital transformation of the network's establishments.
