Presentation of the Session

The post-pandemic and post-Ukraine invasion interregnum weaponizes concepts: non-alignment, minilateralism, Global South, multi-alignment, "global majority," "collective West"... Yet, regardless of one’s perspective, the proliferation of these ideas and doctrines struggles to capture the reality of a broken world, plunged into violent recomposition as war spreads—from Ukraine to Gaza and Lebanon—and threatens Taiwan.

How can we find a path to convergence? Can we still rely on the founding principles of multilateralism to hope for the repair of a broken world? Will the creation of new alliances ultimately bring an end to disorder?
