The year 2025 was one of many successes for projects passed through La Fabrique Cinéma. No less than 8 films were selected and sometimes awarded at prestigious international festivals.

Created by the Institut français in partnership with France Médias Monde and the Organisation internationale de la Francophonie, each year La Fabrique Cinéma selects ten 1st or 2nd feature film projects to present and introduce them in a privileged way to the industry and its decision-makers during the Cannes Film Festival. The aim is to promote the emergence of young filmmakers from developing and emerging countries on the international market.

Since the program was launched in 2009, over 150 projects and 300 participants of 67 different nationalities have been supported. 65 films have already been made, representing almost 45% of the selected projects.

The year 2024 had notably seen the selection of Seeking haven for Mr Rambo by Khaled Mansour (Egypt, La Fabrique 2020) at Orizzonti Extra at the Venice Film Festival and Regretfully at dawn by Sivaroj Kongsakul (Thailand, La Fabrique 2018), in competition in the New Directors section at the San Sebastian Film Festival.

In 2025, successes continue for projects passed through La Fabrique Cinéma, with 8 films selected and sometimes awarded internationally at some of the most prestigious festivals.
