
Applications Open for the CITF 2024 Support Programmes
Created in 1987 to support the development of multilateral projects for theatrical creation and circulation, the Commission Internationale du Théâtre Francophone (CITF) has opened its calls for applications for 2025. The deadline to submit an application for the CITF programmes is April 1, 2025.
To date, more than 400 projects have received financial support, providing francophone artists with opportunities to meet, exchange ideas, enrich their artistic approaches, explore other francophone cultures, and engage with new audiences. The CITF is committed to promoting gender equity and encouraging environmentally responsible approaches in the theatre sector.

Creation / Circulation Programme
The Creation / Circulation Programme aims to support co-productions at all stages of creation, production, and circulation.
Through this programme, the CITF seeks to ensure that the submitted projects offer a unique experience for those involved, contribute to the evolution of their practice, or have a structuring impact on their partners.
The deadline to submit a project for this programme is April 1, 2025, at 11:59 PM (UTC). An information webinar about this programme will take place on February 12, 2025, at 2:00 PM (UTC) on the Teams platform.

Exploration / Research Programme
The Exploration / Research Programme aims to support an exploratory or research phase through artistic encounters that may lead to a co-production.
Through this programme, the CITF seeks to foster new theatrical approaches and practices, facilitate collaborations between artists from different cultures, and encourage the emergence and strengthening of international artistic partnerships.
The deadline to submit a project for this programme is April 1, 2025, at 11:59 PM (UTC). An information webinar about this programme will take place on February 12, 2025, at 2:00 PM (UTC) on the Teams platform.
