European Film Factory expands its catalogue!

European Film Factory, the European film education programme, is expanding its catalogue of European heritage films for school and university audiences in 2023.

Three new films that demonstrate the diversity of European cinema will be available on the platform from February 2023: 

  • A Special Day, Ettore Scola, Italy, 1977 (Best Foreign Film Golden Globes)
  • If I Want to Whistle, I Whistle, Florin Șerban, Romania, 2010 (Silver Bear Berlinale)
  • Rosetta, Luc and Jean-Pierre Dardenne, Belgium, 1999 (Palme d’Or Cannes Film Festival)

At the end of 2022, the programme was enhanced to open its pathway to university and extracurricular audiences via dedicated access for higher education students and cultural mediators enabling them to organise screenings, and also added a ninth language, Croatian, to its multilingual offering. 

The programme, piloted by the Institut français with its partners Arte Education and European Schoolnet, is supported by the MEDIA programme of the Europe Creative Agency. 

More than 15,000 users from the 39 MEDIA countries are registered on the platform
