Under the title "French language, for what purpose?", this forum will bring together young committed personalities, civil society organizations, entrepreneurs, as well as academics, intellectuals, journalists, students, artists, and creators to discuss the uses and appropriations of the French language in Africa in its various forms: in professional, social, and political spheres, as well as in the fields of entrepreneurship, innovation, and artistic creativity and expressiveness.
These debates, organized mainly in the form of workshops, will allow for the formulation of proposals and concrete projects that will feed into the 19th Francophonie Summit, which will be held in France on October 4-5, 2024.
This event marks the 6th stage of a cycle of 9 regional Africa-Europe forums set to unfold across the African continent until 2025. These forums aim to support renewed exchanges between the two continents and to formulate creative solutions to the common challenges of tomorrow.
The previous stages were held in South Africa, Cameroon, Algeria, Mauritius, and Ivory Coast. For more information on this cycle, we invite you to visit the website www.notrefutur.institutfrancais.com.
