The event brings together a hundred artists from 40 different countries. They will exhibit their work in various spaces, alternative venues and cultural hotspots in the city of Tunis. A special feature of the 2022 edition is that Jaou will also take to the streets, in particular the iconic Avenue Habib Bourguiba and main thoroughfares.

The works will be presented in unexpected formats, displayed on the highly visible canvas of urban billboards and in new contemporary installations.

Jaou 2022 is intended to be popular, in the noblest sense of the word, and is aimed at all audiences, amateurs and laymen alike.

In parallel with the exhibitions, four days of meetings and debates will be held from 6 to 9 October in the former Tunis Labour Exchange. They will allow for meetings and discussions based on the reflections of thinkers, journalists, artists, academics and exhibition curators.

Jaou 2022 is also intended to be multidisciplinary, like the previous editions, and thus proposes an original programme of various artistic expressions that will also explore the theme of the body: music and song, cinema, dance, theatre, etc...

The La Vallée exhibition will be presented at the El Birou gallery, in the framework of Jaou Photo 2022. This exhibition is part of the Institut français' La Collection.
