A #ChanteEnFrançais song contest is being launched on Instagram. Young people aged 18 to 27 from around the world are invited to unleash their creativity in French using the hashtags #ChanteEnFrançais, #SingInFrench, #CantaEnFrancès, or #غن_بالفرنسية.

The prize for five young talents is an artistic residency at the Cité internationale de la langue française, at the Château de Villers-Cotterêts. They will also be invited to perform on stage at the Francofolies de Spa in Belgium from July 16 to 21, 2024.

The contest is open from May 22 to June 9, 2024. The Alliances Françaises, Campus France, the Institut Français, and TV5 Monde are partners of the initiative.

2024: A Year of French Language Pride 

France will host, on October 4 and 5, 2024, the XIX Francophonie Summit known as the "Villers-Cotterêts Summit," an event and one of the international highlights of 2024 alongside the 80th anniversary of the Normandy and Provence landings, the Olympic and Paralympic Games, and the reopening of Notre-Dame Cathedral in Paris.

Since March 20, the Festival of Francophonie has been bringing to life this year of pride in the French language and invites everyone to discover Francophone creativity in all its artistic, cultural, and entrepreneurial facets.
