The Institut français has teamed up with Radio Nova to create Les Infusés, a new podcast in which creators and thinkers explain why dialogue between cultures and encounters with the unknown remain essential to them. They tell us what has affected them, inspired them and amazed them.
Hosted by Clémentine Spiler, journalist and presenter of the podcast "Pionnières", the first season of Les Infusés will consist of 10 episodes each around 20 minutes long.
Starting on 22 September 2023, one episode a month will be hosted by writer Maylis de Kerangal, performing artist Phia Ménard, Marlon Magnée, co-founder of the group La Femme, photographer Fatoumata Diabaté, director Caroline Guiela Nguyen, members of the (LA)HORDE collective, dancer-choreographer Mourad Merzouki, philosopher Cynthia Fleury, singer, actress, dancer and choreographer Dorothée Munyaneza, and acrobats from Compagnie XY.
During each episode, we will be guided by a creator - director, choreographer, writer, musician, photographer, thinker - to understand what they have gone to seek elsewhere. By recalling the encounters, the anecdotes, the atmosphere or even the music that instantly evokes the destination they are talking about, we learn what still resonates with them today and continues to inspire them.
The guests on this new Institut français podcast will tell us how discovering other visions of the world, questioning our certainties and learning about other traditions and values than your own can nourish your work, change your career and transform your life.
The Les Infusés podcast embodies the core mission of the Institut français, the public body responsible for working to promote cultural diversity and the French language and culture around the world, and for expanding the activities of the French cultural network abroad. While the podcast will be aimed primarily at French-speaking audiences in France and elsewhere, it will also provide support for French as a foreign language courses run by the French cultural network abroad (Instituts français and Alliances Françaises).
Join us on all listening platforms from 22 September!
