Based in Montpellier, photographer Fatoumata Diabaté has made portrait her speciality, immortalising the faces of people who cross her path and catch her eye. In 2019, a residency brought her to Salvador de Bahia to share her skills to Brazilian photographers. She had no idea that this stay would remind her of her Malian roots, particularly through the Yoruba religious traditions. Influenced by this experience, Fatoumata Diabaté received the visit from a goddess in one of her dreams and now plans to transcribe the invisible into photographs. She explains all this to Clémentine Spiler for Les Infusés

Hosted by Clémentine Spiler, the first season of Les Infusés consists of 10 episodes of around twenty minutes each. Each month a creator will explain us, through the story of a significant experience abroad, why dialogue between cultures and encounters with others remain essential to create. How to discover other visions of the world, question our own certainties is necessary to nourish a work, change a career and mark a life... this is what will tell you the guests of this podcast of the Institut français in partnership with Radio Nova.
