« PARLONS-NOUS ! » (Let's talk together) - A multilingualism campaign in the European Union

On the occasion of the French Presidency of the Council of the European Union (FPEU), the Institut français is offering French cultural network abroad and its partners a campaign promoting on social networks the learning of French and other languages. You can find all the reasons to learn foreign languages online from 16 March.

The promotion of linguistic diversity is one of the priorities of the French Presidency of the Council of the European Union (FPEU). To support this priority, the French cultural network abroad is launching an international invitation to learn French and foreign languages.

With the motto "Parlons-nous" (Let's speak together), the campaign aims to promote exchanges between cultures. Unfortunately, the campaign resonates with the situation in Ukraine, which demonstrates the need of a peaceful dialogue to resolve the conflict.

Supported by the French cultural network abroad and its partners in the network of national cultural institutes of the European Union (EUNIC), the campaign proposes to tackle learning French and foreign languages in a fun and motivating way, based on arguments and statistics advocating linguistic diversity within the European area. By playing on the opportunities offered by fluency in several languages (finding a job but also in love, expanding one's horizons), it illustrates the idea that openness to languages lets you multiply your chances.

Discover the campaign from 16 March onwards on the Institut français' social networks.
