Astronomy for young audiences
Exploratório, Ciência Viva Coimbra has designed the immersive film "Astronomy for Babies" (Winner of the Mariano Gago Award of the Ecsite European Science Centres Network in 2018) on a sensory approach. Over 28 minutes, children (from 2 years old at the Cité des sciences et de l'Industrie) are soothed on a journey with nursery rhyme qualities and transported by celestial objects with bright and saturated colours. The movements are slow without a break in rhythm.
The film entitled "Astronomy for Babies", created by the Exploratório, will be shown in the Cité des Sciences et de l'Industrie planetarium from 3 to 8 May at 10.15 am.
Portuguese gastronomy events
As part of the France-Portugal 2022 Season, Universcience is offering a focus on Portuguese gastronomy, in connection with its "Banquet" exhibition.
The chef Catia Goarmon will present traditional Portuguese desserts to the general public at the Cité des sciences et de l'industrie on 7 and 8 May, at 2pm and 4pm. These events, in Portuguese and French, will be hosted by the Franco-Portuguese actor Jorge Tomé. This is an opportunity to discover this rich gastronomic heritage, alternating with the animated film "Flop chef" devoted to science in gastronomy, concocted and presented by the scientific mediators of the Cité des sciences et de l'Industrie.
The France-Portugal 2022 Season is implemented, for the French side, by the Institut français.
