The Institut français launches a new international travel scheme

With MIRA - Mobilité à l’International de Recherche Artistique (International Travel for Artistic Research) the Institut français is updating the way in which it supports French artists with their international research projects. Calls for applications are open from 12 July to 31 August 2023!

Continuing on from the “Résidences Sur Mesure” and “Missions Stendhal” schemes, MIRA is open to French or foreign artists living in France for more than 5 years, alone or in pairs, who would like to conduct and/or further develop existing research in one or more countries for a minimum duration of one month.

The scheme offers 3 calls for projects, open until the end of August (with a maximum of 100 applications per call):

MIRA VISUAL ARTS: visual arts, architecture, fashion, design, crafts, digital arts, photography
MIRA LITERATURE (Stendhal): essays, fiction, children and young adults, comics and graphic novels, poetry
MIRA LIVE PERFORMANCE: theatre, dance, street arts, cirque, puppets, current and contemporary music.
