The Institut français x Cité internationale des arts programme is designed for international artists who wish to develop a research and creative project in Paris. These artists are supported by one or more cultural partners, which may include institutions from the French cultural network abroad and/or French and international organizations (art centers, associations, galleries, theaters, cultural venues, etc.).

A studio-apartment is provided to the selected artists for a period of three, six, or nine months. The Institut français, in collaboration with the Cité internationale des arts, offers support to help the laureates expand their professional networks, while encouraging collaborations with the artistic scene in the Paris region and across France.
