The Ukrainian Institute launches its activities in France!
The Institut français took part in the opening evening of the Ukrainian Institute in France on Thursday 9 November at the Gaîté lyrique in Paris. After Berlin in March, a branch has now been opened in France to help spread Ukrainian culture and bring Ukrainian cultural players closer to their French counterparts.

The evening was attended by the Ukrainian First Lady, Olena Zelenska, the Minister of Culture, Rima Abdul Malak, the Ukrainian Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, Emine Dzhaparova, and the Secretary of State for European Affairs, Laurence Boone. Eva Nguyen Binh, President of the French Institute, and Volodymyr Sheiko, Director of the Ukrainian Institute, discussed the challenges of cooperation between the two institutions. The evening concluded with a concert by the singer Jamala, winner of the Eurovision Song Contest in 2016 and one of Ukraine's most popular singers.
