Warsaw hosted the third step of the "In the face of war - European Dialogues" project
Launched in Prague in November 2023 and continued in Vilnius a few days later, the "In the face of war - European Dialogues" series stopped off in Warsaw, Poland, on 11 and 12 March 2024. Through this series of events, the Institut français aims to support discussion and debate on the upheavals in Europe caused by the war in Ukraine.

On the theme of "Research and the stakes of knowledge in the face of war", a large number of speakers in Warsaw continued the exchanges initiated at previous events.
A café-debate entitled "Écrire la guerre" (Writing War) at Warsaw University brought together a number of speakers, including François-Xavier Lefranc from Ouest-France; Fabrice Puchault from Arte France; Lukasz Lipinski from Polityka Weekly; Jakub Bodziony from Kultura Liberalna; Mathéo Malik from Le Grand Continent magazine, as well as journalists Léna Mauger, Alexandra Jousset, Jeanne Cavelier and Michał Żakowski.
The ZACHĘTA national art gallery hosted a panel discussion on "War through a gender prism", moderated by Maxime FOREST, PhD in political science and teacher-researcher at Sciences Po. In parallel, a discussion between journalists Olivier Weber and Żenia Klimakin was also held at the Reportage Institute.
The next step of the "European Dialogues" will be held in Amsterdam in May 2024!
