Our future in Salvador de Bahia, November 5-8, 2025: "Sharing our places
Published on 31 October 2025
As part of the Season of France in Brazil, a new Our Future forum will take place from November 5 to 8, 2025 in Salvador de Bahia, Brazil.
Inspired by the proposals of the committed young people who took part in the New Africa-France Summit on October 8, 2021, in Montpellier, but also by the conclusions of Achille Mbembe's report, Les nouvelles-relations Afrique-France: relever ensemble les défis de demain, Notre futur is a cycle of major events that brings together personalities from all over Africa and Europe to debate major societal issues.
For all the partners in these major events, the challenge is to forge an increasingly close dialogue between civil societies in Africa and Europe, to invent new solutions to the challenges that the two continents face together. To this end, the Our Future meetings ensure the conditions for free, transparent and peaceful exchanges, turned towards new ideas and methods of cooperation.
The Salvador de Bahia stopover will provide a space for meeting and reflection, offering a unique platform for collective dialogue. It will feature young people and new voices from Brazilian, African and French civil societies, invited to imagine together the cities of tomorrow: more open, fairer and greener.
On this occasion, five emerging personalities will take part in the forum's plenary sessions and workshops. They will take part in public debates and participatory workshops, contributing their insights, expertise and commitment.
