The 9ᵉ edition of Novembre Numérique has just come to a close after having animated, throughout the month of November, more than 60 countries and 135 cities around the world. Another rich and inspiring edition, driven by the commitment of the French cultural network abroad and its partners.

On five continents, artists, professional structures and audiences came together to explore, question and celebrate digital cultures. Between creation, education, innovation and international cooperation, everyone contributed to making digital a shared field of experimentation.

This year, the focus was on two key areas: the artistic uses of artificial intelligence, with over 20 programs deployed around the world, and the digital enhancement of heritage, which inspired 15 programs combining innovation, research and creation.

In Albania

Throughout November, KubFranceTirana, the French Institute of Albania and the French Embassy in Tirana invited the public and professionals alike to celebrate the diversity of digital cultures for Novembre Numérique en Albanie. Conferences, virtual reality, performances and workshops punctuated the month, including a meeting on the digitization and preservation of cinematographic heritage in the digital age, the inauguration of KubFranceKorça and the Myselves performance by Compagnie K. Danse.

In Oran, Algeria

A rich program was offered this year at the Institut français d'Algérie in Oran: an electro concert with Deena Abdelwaheb, an esport tournament on Tekken 8, the Uramado augmented reality exhibition by Julie Stephen Chheng, and a round table dedicated to video game professions.

In Kigali, Rwanda

Kigali Numérique returned for a 2ᵉ edition under the theme of "Augmented Intelligence". Supported by the Institut français du Rwanda, this year's event opened up to several major figures in French digital creation, encouraging new collaborations with Rwandan artists. The program included conferences, workshops, performances and exhibitions, several of which took place outside the event's walls.

In New York, United States

In New York, the Villa Albertine and the Dark Euphoria association organized Nocturne Immersion, an event bringing together artists, professionals and institutions to explore new forms of spectacle combining performance and immersive technologies. The aim was to promote exchanges on the creation and dissemination of works, as well as Franco-American collaborations. The evening closed with a performance by the artist NSDOS.

In Luanda, Angola

In Luanda, Angola, the Alliance Française has exploited the French Institute's catalog of augmented reality works to offer the public a fresco installed in the public space. La Forêt Universelle de Numered invites viewers to stroll through a spectacular forest and meet a dozen endangered animal species.

In Poland

For the 2025 edition of Novembre Numérique, the French Institute in Poland invited the public to discover French digital content from the catalog of ARTE, a key partner in cultural innovation.
At the media library, visitors were able to try out a selection of independent video games - including Homo Machina and Chants of Sennaar - showcasing the expertise of French studios. The event also featured an evening of binge-watching of the Dopamine series, followed by an exceptional meeting with its creator, Léo Favier.

In Vancouver

In Vancouver, French artist Maxime Touroute's collective presented their work at "V-Unframed", the Alliance Française Vancouver's highlight of immersive creation. The public discovered the participative installations Painting Mirror and Let's Draw, highlighting the Alliance Française's new building while raising awareness of the creative uses of artificial intelligence. The event also included two videomapping workshops, for the general public and for professionals, as well as a program of virtual reality films.

In Budapest, Hungary

In Budapest, Novembre Numérique explored the links between video games, immersive creation and innovation throughout the month. The French Institute of Hungary collaborated with the Hungarian Video Game Association and the VERZIO International Human Rights Documentary Festival to offer a multidisciplinary program bringing together Hungarian and French creators. Last but not least, the city hosted NUMIX Lab, a professional event bringing together a wide range of players in the digital creation sector.

In Morocco

In Morocco, the 2025 edition of Novembre Numérique showcased a dense and itinerant program, deployed in 13 cities across the kingdom. With a wide range of events combining digital arts, immersive performances, electronic music, club culture and technological innovations, it was part of a dynamic cooperation with numerous local partners. This edition offered the public a broad panorama of new writing and confirmed Novembre Numérique as a structuring event for digital creation in Morocco.
