Every year, the month of November becomes a playground for digital cultures. An international event piloted by the French Institute and the French cultural network abroad, Novembre Numérique brings together over 70 countries and 130 cities.

In a context where digital technology is profoundly shaping our societies, it's essential to rethink our relationship with technology, creation and the sovereignty of digital infrastructures.

By bringing together creators, professional structures and the general public, Novembre Numérique provides a space for experimentation and reflection, conducive to the exploration of new uses and the emergence of novel cultural forms.

This major event invites us to reflect collectively on the place of digital technology in our societies, by mobilizing creation, education, innovation and international cooperation. Finally, it promotes access to new technologies for all.

Digital November

Since 2017, all over the world, the Institut français and the French cultural network abroad have been organizing Novembre Numérique, the international celebration of digital cultures.

Novembre Numérique

A 2025 edition focused on AI and the digital promotion of French heritage and collections

In 2025, Novembre Numérique unfolds across five continents, driven by the creativity and commitment of the cultural network. This ninth edition will highlight the diversity of digital cultures through a variety of projects, both face-to-face and online.

This international program finds a particular echo this year: in the wake of the Summit for Action on Artificial Intelligence (AI) held in France in February 2025, a special place is given to initiatives around AI, its artistic uses and its challenges. The digital enhancement of French heritage and collections is also a key focus of this edition.

Follow the program throughout November on the Institut français website and social networks!
