Ateliers de l'Institut français (AIF) 2025

Published on 1 July 2025

AIFs return this year on Thursday afternoon, July 17 and Friday, July 18, for a new edition entitled "Keeping on course!".

The AIF is a key moment for dialogue with the French cultural network abroad and with French partners in international cultural cooperation. After a year's suspension in 2024 due to the Paris Olympic Games, the 2025 edition will take place at the Hall de la Pinède, in the Parc Floral.

In 2023, they had brought together nearly 1,000 participants, including over 450 members of the cultural network and 300 cultural professionals in France.

This year's event, entitled "Staying on course", will focus on the impact of global upheavals on cultural action abroad, the adaptation of the network and the expectations of the French.

"Keeping on course!" in the unpredictable and worrying context we are experiencing is a way of affirming our loyalty to our values, to the importance of culture and intercultural dialogue for our societies, and the conviction of the meaning of our actions.

If the course is maintained, the current context (marked by the need for accountability, budgetary constraints, upheavals linked to AI, conflicts etc.) nonetheless pushes us to question our actions, their objectives and the way we carry them out, in a way that is undoubtedly renewed.

On the program

On July 17, a dozen half-day itineraries in Paris will be offered.

The second day, Tuesday July 18, will be held at the Hall de la Pinède and will be devoted tothe plenary sessionand professional meetings.
