From Paris to Pointe-à-Pitre, Cayenne to Lyon via Fort-de-France and Lille, over 300 events are scheduled in more than 50 cities in France from April to September... before crossing the Atlantic to Brazil for an exceptional program from August to December 2025!

One season, three major challenges

At the end of their meeting in June 2023 in Paris, Presidents Emmanuel Macron and Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva decided to organize a France-Brazil Season in 2025 to give new impetus to the bilateral relationship, strengthen our joint responses to the political, social and ecological challenges of our time, and showcase the richness and diversity of contemporary creation in both countries.

Thought of as a great cultural and civic crossing, the France-Brazil 2025 Season is structured around three major issues shared by our two countries:

  • Climate and ecological transition
  • Diversity of societies and dialogue with Africa
  • Democracy and equitable globalization.

An abundance of programming

Between April and September 2025, France will host over 300 events in more than 50 cities. Exhibitions, shows, debates, innovations: a rich and committed program that will highlight the vitality of contemporary Brazilian creation. Discover the full program at bresilfrance2025.com.

The Season will then continue in Brazil from August to December 2025, with an equally abundant French program, details of which will be revealed at a press conference on June 26 in São Paulo.

About the Season

The Season is implemented by the Instituto Guimarães Rosa (for Brazilian programming in France) and the Institut français (for French programming in Brazil), in close collaboration with the Brazilian Embassy in France and the French Embassy in Brazil, under the supervision of the Ministries of Foreign Affairs and Culture of both countries. The General Curator of the France-Brazil 2025 Season is entrusted, for Brazilian programming in France, to Mr. Emilio Kalil, and for French programming in Brazil, to Ms. Anne Louyot.
