A look back at the Bilili BD Festival 2022 at the Institut français du Congo in Brazzaville
5 minCreated in 2016 by Elyon's, supported and hosted by the Institut français du Congo in Brazzaville, the Bilili BD Festival brings together every year local and international authors of comics, 2D cartoons, cosplay, digital and physical publishing.
In December 2022, the 7th edition of the festival tackled the theme of "transmedia", exploring comics with their bubbles and panels, but also without one or the other!
On the programme: exhibitions, author meetings, signings, conferences and debates, master classes, publishers' fair, comic book and cosplay competitions.
Since its origins, the Bilili BD festival has continued to build partnerships with leading institutions, becoming an unmissable event for the African comics scene.
Congo Brazzaville is one of the countries targeted by the Educational Resources project and as such, the festival has received support from the Institut français.
