Plan B (2003) is the second show in a trilogy that links juggling and acrobatics with the constraints of space. It offers a dialogue between movement and gravity.
A scenographer, theatre and opera director and visual artist, Aurélien Bory, founder of Compagnie 111, aims for his creations to be part of the new wave of this art form.

3/12Échos (Echoes) by the Alexandra N’Posse Company
A choreographic piece created in 2018, Echoes connects dance and ecology by their very nature and common concerns.
Abdennour Belalit has been choreographing for the Alexandra N’Posse company since 1994. He also raises awareness of hip-hop.

In this 2019 creation, which made its international debut in Taiwan in March, 14 players move continuously surrounded by a lighting system – a tangible place and a mental space that combines the shared with the intimate.

5/12Blake Works by William Forsythe/Ballet de l’Opéra de Paris (The Paris Opera Ballet)
In Blake Works, created in 2016 for The Paris Opera Ballet, William Forsythe offers a series of short sequences with varied configurations, composed of seven pieces of electronic music from the album The Colour In Anything by James Blake.

6/12Plume by the Kokeshi Company
Two dancers evoke the complexity and ambivalence of the ties between child and mother, and the associations and similarities between the different generations of life, from the womb to old age.
Created in 2013, the Kokeshi Company based in Nantes has been actively involved in the development of contemporary dance for young children and adults.

7/12Longing by Alexandre Roccoli
The choreography for Longing (2014), inspired by Kabyle and Apulian folklore, combines the memory and imagination of the textile trades, and unwinds the thread of individual and collective stories.
Alexandre Roccoli has been researching visual art and choreography through traditional ancient crafts since 2010.

8/12Crowd by Gisèle Vienna
A new creation by Gisèle Vienna, Crowd, a piece for 15 dancers, offers an analytical and sensitive presentation of the physical and behavioural expressions of participants in a rave party.
Giselle Vienna is a choreographer, director and visual artist whose creations are inspired by violence and the relationship between enjoyment and the sacred.

9/12Les Ombres blanches (White Shadows) by Nathalie Pernette
This play for a young audience, aimed at children aged six and up, has ghosts, spectres and phantoms dancing under the direction of Nathalie Pernette, a dancer-choreographer who produces instinctive and rigorous creations that seek to interrogate.

10/12Näss by Cie Massala
Näss (which means “people” in Arabic), on its first tour in Asia, is based on the question of roots and identity against a background of traditional dance and Moroccan music.
Founded by Fouad Boussouf, Massala promotes cultural diversity, combining contemporary dance, hip-hop and new circus creations.

11/12Tel que! (As It Is!) by Thomas Lebrun/Tours National Centre for Choreography
In this show for a young audience, four characters develop in a choreography inspired by building sets. Their dance questions the relationship between themselves and others, and touches on appearance, diversity and accepting differences.
Thomas Lebrun, dancer, choreographer and director of the Tours National Centre for Choreography, develops demanding and passionate choreographical pieces that are shown in France and abroad.

Plan B by Aurélien Bory was supported as part of a partnership with the city of Toulouse, Empty Picture by Alexandre Roccoli as part of a partnership with the City of Lyon, and Tel que! by Thomas Lebrun with the agreement with the Centre Val de Loire Region.
The Institut français partners with 21 local authorities to develop international artistic exchanges.
