Hoël Duret - Low exhibition at Villa Merkel
2 minThe exhibition – low – is about creating tension, parallel worlds, future technologies and hopes that slightly absurd. It brings together a monumental installation, a video, paintings, strange illuminated artefacts and glyphs left by an extinct branch of humanity.
In this exhibition, Hoël Duret investigates the relationships between nature and technology, in particular in the current context. The artist develops a critical and alternative image of the digital era as a coherent phase of human history and therefore clearly shows that such a concept can only be confirmed at the price of concealing diversity.
The exhibition is presented at Villa Merkel (Esslingen, Germany) from 16 August to 15 November 2020.
