Snow Fest in Les Deux Alpes

The 9th edition of Snow Fest, the largest Romanian contemporary music festival abroad, took place at the end of March 2019 in Les Deux Alpes. For 10 days the resort was brought alive by skiing, snowboarding, arts activities, stand-up comedy, sports competitions, paragliding and concerts by Romanian musicians and 20 DJs.

“Persona. Works by Romanian artists” at the Mucem (Museum of European and Mediterranean Civilisations) in Marseille

The Mucem will be hosting the “Persona. Works by Romanian artists” exhibition until 23 June. In the exhibition, its commissioner Diana Marincu addresses the issue of identities by depicting popular arts and traditions executed by contemporary Romanian artists.

Nico de Transilvania, DJ, producer and founder of the NGO "Forests without Frontiers”, hosted the closing evening of Romania Season in France in Petit Bain with her latest album: Be One. For each album sold, a tree will be planted in the Carpathian Mountains.

“Cartooning for peace” exhibition at the Muzeul National de Istorie (Istorie National Museum)

Designs and caricatures of the time and also by contemporary artists can be seen in the exhibition “Draw me the war. 1914-2014: Press cartoons on the conflicts of the 20th and 21st centuries” presented by the National Museum of History of Romania, establishing a dialogue between cartoonists over a period of a century.

French DJ Bob Sinclar performed on 18 April at George Enescu Square in Bucharest as part of the Spotlight festival dedicated to light and its technologies. The 2019 France-Romania Season (November 2018-July 2019) is organised by the Institut français and, in Romania, by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Culture and National Identity and the Romanian Cultural Institute, with the support of the French and Romanian embassies, the Alliances Françaises and other ministries in both countries.
