Invited to the Galeria Boavista by Irvin Anneix and Cláudia Alves, the directors and creators of the webseries Cher Futur Moi, the Prime Minister Elisabeth Borne, the Minister of Europe and Foreign Affairs, Catherine Colonna, the Ministers of Culture Rima Abdul Malak and Pedro Adão e Silva and the Mayor of Lisbon, Carlos Moedas, went to meet the teenagers who took part in this Franco-Portuguese edition of the webseries.
"Thank you to the French-Portuguese youth for our discussions around Irvin Anneix's futuristic installation. Through your stories and your dreams, you are the face of today's Europe and the greatest opportunity for tomorrow's Europe", said the Prime Minister.
Adapted from a trend born on social networks, Cher Futur Moi asked young French and Portuguese people aged 15 to 20 to record a video message to their "future self" in 10 years' time. Alone in front of their cameras at home, these young people put their present on record and confide in their hopes and fears for the future. For the France-Portugal 2022 Season, the 20 episodes were presented at the Galeria da Boavista in Lisbon as a video installation and were also broadcast on YouTube.
