The France-Portugal 2022 Season is under way!
10 minLaunched on 12 and 13 February in Paris, followed by the 16th in Lisbon and the 18th in Porto, the series of opening events delighted officials and the public who turned out in force to celebrate the creativity and talent of our two countries.

3/12Official inauguration of the monumental work entitled "The Three Graces" by Pedro Cabrita Reis
Official inauguration of the monumental work entitled The Three Graces by the Portuguese artist Pedro Cabrita Reis. Exhibited in the Jardin des Tuileries at the Musée du Louvre, this original work is made entirely from Portuguese cork and reinterprets a key theme inherited from Greco-Roman Antiquity.
This inauguration was attended by the artist and by Marcelo Rebelo de Sousa, President of Portugal, along with Augusto Santos Silva, the Portuguese Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, and the Portuguese Minister of Culture Graça Fonseca, welcomed by the French Minister of Culture Roselyne Bachelot, the President of the Season, Emmanuel Demarcy-Mota, and the two Curators, Victoire di Rosa and Manuela Júdice, the President of the Institut français, Eva Nguyen Binh, the French Ambassador to Portugal, Florence Mangin, the President of the Musée du Louvre, Laurence des Cars, the Mayor of Lisbon, Carlos Moedas, and a host of French and Portuguese officials.

7/12"Mosaic of Portuguese voices " at Théâtre du Châtelet / Théâtre de la Ville
Théâtre de la Ville and the Théâtre du Chatelet invited the public to take part in an immersive day of Portuguese art and culture. It was an opportunity to (re)discover the young Portuguese music scene through a series of concerts, workshops, meetings, exhibitions, a visit from the giant and big-headed puppets of Viana do Castelo, as well as through gastronomy for children and adults and Franco-Portuguese poetry, music and dance consultations.

The Institut français and the Season
The implementation of the Season has been entrusted, for the French portion, to the Institut français.
