The exhibition Gulbenkian Revealed: in the Collector’s Private Realm unveils a meticulously-selected group of 90 works of art from among the masterpieces in this collection. Their often diminutive stature encourages careful handling and attests to the connoisseur and collector’s attention to detail. Through these objects, the exhibition explores five principles that guided the collector Calouste Gulbenkian (1869-1955) for some sixty years: an intimate scale, preciousness, craftsmanship, the diverse provenance and the rarity of the objects.

Exhibition curator: Dr. Nuno Vassallo e Silva, delegation director of the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation in Paris.
