A look back at the tours of Fair winners for the Fête de la Musique
5 minLaunched in June 1982 by the Ministry of Culture, the Fête de la Musique first began to be exported in 1985. It is now hugely successful internationally, largely due to the commitment of the French cultural network, which keeps the event going beyond France’s borders. Organised in eighty-five countries across five continents, the Fête de la Musique is an opportunity for local and French groups to perform live.
Spotlight on the tours of the Fair winners: Charlie Motto, Brö, Lecomte de Brégeot, Ottis Cœur, Gatha and Structures.
The Fair is the leading support system for career start-ups and development in contemporary music. The Institut français and the Fair are partners whose shared objective is to promote emerging artists and support their international development.
