A look back at the Agence de Voyages Imaginaires tour in Peru
10 minFrom 14 to 27 September 2023, the Agence de Voyages Imaginaires show L'amour de Roméo et Juliette continued its world tour in its Spanish version, with the acting duo Pépita Car and Valérie Bournet. The show, adapted from Romeo and Juliet, was performed in Peru, notably in the country's Alliances Françaises, in Cusco (Théâtre municipal), Piura (Espace Liberté), Chiclayo (Centre culturel), Trujillo (Espace Alliance Française de Has) and Lima (Théâtre de l'Alliance Française).
Alongside the performances, the actors offered workshops for the general public, courses and meetings around the show, in both French and Spanish, which are co-constructed with the partners. These may include :
- Meetings with students, artists, the general public and schoolchildren at various venues: cultural centres, French institutes, universities, schools, etc.
- Theatre workshops with Valérie Bournet, covering all aspects of creation.
- Outreach work to develop the structure's cultural activities and discover new audiences: theatre, music and improvisation in public spaces, etc.

Third performance in Chiclayo, outside the walls at the DDC (Chiclayo House of Culture). It's the only theatre in the city to have been flooded, so the performance took place outdoors in front of more than 300 people. There weren't enough chairs for everyone, so some people stood and stayed until the end!
