Cross-Residence France-Brazil: Sampaienne
The arrival of this Brazilian delegation is also connected to a Franco-Brazilian cross-residence project, initiated in 2023 by the Consulate of France in São Paulo, SESC-SP, Brazilian concert producer Scubidu, and Jazz à Vienne; and supported by the Institut Français and the CNM.
In 2023, Jazz à Vienne hosted Irmandade Ensemble, the Franco-Brazilian creation by Sintia Piccin, Clélya Abraham, Ana Karina Sebastião, and Ananda Brandão.
This year, the festival will present the quartet Sampaienne, a new Franco-Brazilian creation featuring Lucie Jahier, Helena Recalde, Sthe Araújo, and Tamiris Silveira (concerts on July 6 and 10).
