Catalogue of software solutions
Based on the needs of the different activities of the Cooperation and Cultural Action Department (SCAC) of the Instituts français, Alliances Françaises and bi-national institutions, the catalogue currently lists 80 solutions.
Launched by the Institut Français in September 2022, the catalogue explores the multiple functionalities and possible uses of software solutions. With the aim of simplifying the choice and use of software (office applications, video conferencing, project management, graphic design, etc.), it ensures greater autonomy in working practices.
Solutions identified as essential are listed, as are alternative solutions from a financial or technical point of view. Each solution is presented in a data sheet with practical information (download link, tutorial, etc.).
The catalogue of software solutions has been developed in conjunction with a number of pilot institutions. Thus, it is in line with the current digital practices of the network members and aims to anticipate their potential requirements. In the spirit of collaboration, a "Network Opinions" section allows users to share their experience and inspire other members.
This is the first version of the catalogue. A new phase aimed at obtaining pre-negotiated rates for certain software solutions will run until 2023 with the respective suppliers.
The catalogue is accessible to all users with an Institut français account under "Member of the French diplomatic network". Access is gained by logging in with your login details.
What about French teaching and learning solutions?
Another of the Institut français’ missions is currently taking place at the same time, with the aim of identifying and qualifying these solutions.
