European Film Factory : european platform for film education
Members of the French cultural network
In 2022, the Institut français and its two partners ARTE Education and European Schoolnet received the support of the European Commission within the framework of the “Film education and Audience development” call through the MEDIA sub-programme of Creative Europe to develop new actions within the European Film Factory programme initiated in 2019.
The Institut français has recently developed an ambitious European dynamic and is currently participating to six projects (co)financed by the European Union, as coordinator or as a partner beneficiary.
European Film Factory is an innovative and pragmatic response to support film education in Europe and beyond its frontiers. The program gives students aged 11 to 25 and teachers from all countries participating in the Creative Europe programme as well as cultural mediators working with young audiences a free access to an online catalogue of twenty films from Europe's film heritage from 1954 to 2014 as well as a catalogue of recent and thematical short films, that will be online all along 2023.
