Project support
Indianoceanic mobility fund
This programme supports the mobilitý of artists and cultural professionals in the Indian Ocean, within the Indian Ocean zone and from or to South Africa, Kenya, Mozambique, Tanzania and India.
The Institut français provides financial support in the form of :
- a travel allowance (transport costs, insurance and visa, if necessary) for artists and cultural professionals up to a limit of €2,200 per application and per year (corresponding to a mobility project),
- project support for cultural organisations or companies, up to a maximum of €8,000 per application per year (one application corresponding to one or more mobility projects for artists, up to a maximum of €2,200).
Please note: Plane tickets are paid for directly by the project promoters.
The Institut français and its two supervisory ministries (Ministry of Europe and Foreign Affairs and Ministry of Culture) are working to promote equality between men and women, parity and diversity. The Institut français is also in the process of obtaining the Equality label and the Diversity label from AFNOR. Particular attention will therefore be paid by the selection committeé to gender parity in the selection of artists, creators, authors and professionals who will be selected to benefit from the Indian Ocean Mobility Fund.
In line with the National Low-Carbon Strategy (SNBC), the Institut français has set itself ten operational objectives to be achieved by 2025, brought together in a roadmap for the ecological transition. In agreement with its partners, the implementation of the Indianoceanic Mobility Fund is part of this eco-responsible dynamic. Applicants are encouraged to develop an eco-responsible approach to their project (choosing the least carbon-intensive transport whenever possible; pooling travel, food, etc.). ). Applicants are encouraged to report on this approach when submitting their application.
The funds allocated to the Indian Ocean Mobility Fund were used up to satisfy the large number of applications received in the first half of the year.
The fund's partners (Ministry of Culture - General Secretariat, Reunion and Mayotte Cultural Affairs Departments - and the Institut français) have therefore closed the fund for 2024.
Mobility projects must have a link with Réunion or Mayotte.
