The Institut français is the pivotal operator for the Ministry of Europe and Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of Culture in implementing France's foreign cultural policy.
The Institut français is the pivotal operator for the Ministry of Europe and Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of Culture in implementing France's foreign cultural policy.
Its missions are to support and animate the French network of cooperation and cultural action abroad; to accompany French creators and cultural and creative industries in their development on an international scale; to strengthen the dialogue between cultures and societies; and finally to promote the French language and plurilingualism.
its modes of action are:
- expertise, advice, training and the provision of resources
- mobility programs, residencies and the structuring of French and foreign professional networks
- the organization of cultural highlights and debates
- the co-financing of projects
The Institut français works worldwide.
It pays particular attention to developing cultural entrepreneurship in Africa, strengthening cooperation between youth and civil societies in Europe, and cultural and creative industries in the Indo-Pacific.
Objectives and performance contract
